April 14, 2026
On 9 April 2026, Mysore Deep Perfumery House (MDPH), Kshipra, welcomed 50 MBA 2nd Semester students from SAGE University, Indore, for an insightful industrial visit. The initiative aimed to provide students with a hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes and business operations, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
The visit began with a comprehensive guided tour of the manufacturing unit, where students were introduced to the intricate processes involved in producing both wet and dry dhoop. From the selection of raw materials to the final stages of production, the tour offered a detailed view of the craftsmanship, precision, and quality standards maintained at every step.

Students were then taken through the perfuming and packaging sections of incense sticks, where they gained valuable insights into product development, fragrance blending, and packaging techniques. This segment highlighted how innovation, consistency, and attention to detail play a crucial role in delivering high-quality products to the market.

A key highlight of the visit was the exposure to the dispatch and logistics area. Here, students observed the systematic processes involved in storage, order management, and distribution. This provided them with a practical understanding of supply chain management and the efficiency required to ensure the timely delivery of finished products across markets.
The session was led by Mr. Jitendra Panwar, Unit Head – Kshipra, along with Ms. Vinita Hemnani, Head – HR, who shared valuable perspectives on plant operations, quality control, workforce management, and evolving industry practices. Their insights helped students connect operational processes with broader business strategies.
The visit concluded with an interactive and engaging Q&A session conducted by Ms. Hemnani. Where students actively participated and raised thoughtful questions related to manufacturing, marketing, automation, logistics, and emerging industry trends. Their enthusiasm reflected a strong curiosity to connect academic concepts with real-world applications.
As these students approach the phase of selecting their MBA specializations in the upcoming semester, this industrial visit served as a meaningful exposure to real-world business environments. It not only enhanced their understanding of core business functions and operations but also empowered them to make more informed and confident career decisions.
Overall, the visit was a highly enriching and interactive experience, one that reinforced the importance of strong industry-academia collaboration in shaping future professionals and leaders.
