With an intention to promote staff health and encourage fitness among them, Mysore Deep perfumery House (MDPH) organized Health and Wellness Check-up Camp on 09th &10th December 2017 at its factory premise. The camp was organized in association with All India Marwari Yuva Manch which assisted in conducting various medical tests for all the staff members and factory workers of MDPH. The health & wellness camp organized included tests for blood pressure, blood sugar, X-ray, CA-125, PSA blood tests and various cancer screening tests that include mammography, endoscopy, pap smear test, CEA and AFA test.

The camp was started at 9:00am on 9th December 2017. For this, a well equipped huge mobile medical van came with a team of 8 doctors. The multi-facility van had all the medical equipments and machines like X-ray, laser, endoscopy etc for cancer screening. All the employees at MDPH were quite enthusiastic to find out how healthy they were. The management recorded an overwhelming response from employees with more than 375 registrations. The camp completed all the tests and the ended successfully on next day 10th December at 6:00pm. On this occasion Ms. Jyoti Iyer, Senior sales coordinator, MDPH said, “It is a good initiative taken by the company. Many corporate nowadays organize health camps for their employees but most of them consist basic check-ups. Arranging this type of facility and extensive checkups at the workplace are very rare. It benefited all the employees especially the females who generally keep their health in the back seat.”

According to Mr. Jitendra Paliwal, National Depot Manager, MDPH, who put his efforts in organizing the camp at the doorstep, “We all have a hectic schedule and many of us ignore routine health check-ups until it becomes necessary. Providing such facility at the workplace at free of cost made health checkups convenient. Especially for the factory workers, most of them are unaware of many diseases and the precautions. This would help them to educate regarding many health issues.”

All the employees felt proud and encouraged. MDPH with this event showcased how important its employees and workers are and how it cares. about their health and wellness. MDPH wishes to provide continuous wellness and quality of work life to its employees and foster healthy workplace for employees with many more such events in future.
