MDPH is embarking on an aggressive expansion in West Bengal, introducing new products like dish wash tubs, bars, and shining powder. Following the successful launch of handwash and shining powder, which received overwhelming consumer feedback, we are poised to produce dish wash products locally in Kolkata. This strategic move aims to enhance their reach throughout Eastern India.
Our company has firmly established itself as a top brand in India. Our excellence in the agarbatti segment in West Bengal and East India is well-recognized, with strong consumer responses. Now, MDPH is diversifying into the Home and Hygiene sector, offering high-quality hand wash and shining powder. These new products are competitively priced to satisfy the entire distribution chain, from distributors to end customers.
Our strategic move to introduce regional fragrances like Sandalwood and Patchouli in their agarbattis and dhoopbattis has been well-received in West Bengal. We are now on a major expansion drive, introducing innovative products. This includes eco-friendly, vegan products such as essential oils, reed diffusers, handwash, and air fresheners, catering to the growing demand for sustainable options.
Our Director, Mr. Anshul Agrawal mapped out his plans for the North East: “MDPH and Zed Black are among the top five Agarbatti companies in the country, and this growth trend extends to the East market, including Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bengal, and Assam. Despite the increasing price sensitivity in Bengal, Odisha, and Assam, this year, we plan to continue this trend with new product launches and innovative advertising strategies. We’ve recently ventured into the puja and hygiene categories, both of which are receiving very good responses in the East. In addition to our agarbatti category, which includes agarbatti, dhoop sticks, dhoop and puja samagri, our product Manthan Sambrani is particularly popular in the East.”
Our Director added: “The key plan is to expand the business in West Bengal by increasing our sales force which will enable us to reach out to the far flung areas of the state. Holding a 12% market share in India’s organized sector, we are one of the top two agarbatti manufacturers, achieving consistent double-digit growth for the past 20 years. Our aim is to capture a more formidable market share in Bengal by introducing products in the health and hygiene segment.”
