In a significant move, the central government’s decision to increase the import duty on bamboo sticks has set the stage for home manufacturers to invest in domestic production.
Mr. Anshul Agrawal believes that it’s time for home businesses to roll up their sleeves and dive into domestic production, taking a leap towards self-sufficiency. MDPH, known for its prayer essentials, is committed to using raw materials sourced within the country, aligning with the vision of a self-sufficient India.
He also outlined the fact that previously, bamboo was labeled as a forest produce, hindering specific variety cultivation. MDPH, needing 10 ton of bamboo for incense, currently relies on imports. To meet the company’s ambitious growth plans, a crucial shift to domestic production has become necessary.
To address the growing demand, MDPH is planning a significant expansion of its manufacturing plant area. The company aims to increase the existing 2 lakh square feet space to 3.5 lakh square feet, gearing up to meet the projected demand for bamboo sticks. This expansion reflects the company’s commitment to ensuring a steady and sustainable supply chain.
In a bold vision, our director Mr. Anshul Agrawal aims to transform MDPH beyond prayer essentials, connecting with every household aspect. This journey stands as a testament to India’s manufacturing potential for growth and self-sufficiency.
