POP is a bimonthly magazine which covers the in-store activities of brands, retail promotion and so on. Anshul Agarwal, Director, Zed Black explained to retail4growth, he talks about the highly unorganized incense and agarbatti category in retail and said that the firm’s penetration strategy in the market was rather unique and interesting. The Director said “The category that we have worked with for the last couple of decades is highly unorganized and lacks awareness. We maximized our reach by establishing direct connect with distributors and by setting up to 30 distribution centers instead of depending on the CNFs.
4We also have 10 exclusive Zedblack stores which are operated by store owners. We are planning to organize it further and build a chain of Zedblack stores. We are also entering into other consumer market and will start rigorous campaigns after we are done with our research in our test market of MP.”
