We at MDPH had the privilege of witnessing Roli’s journey from the very beginning.

Roli Pathak, daughter of our beloved colleague Shakuntala Ji, has secured a coveted place in the Indian Railway Volleyball Team, and we couldn’t be prouder. Her achievement is not just hers—it is a reflection of the community, guidance, and encouragement that surrounds her, and we are honored to have played our part.

Roli’s journey has been extraordinary. After joining North Eastern Railway on 8th October 2025, she quickly represented her zone in the Inter-Railway Tournament in Chennai, competing against 120 players. From there, 35 girls advanced to the Senior National Camp in Delhi, held from 3rd to 29th December. Over the course of this month-long camp, Roli’s dedication, discipline, and relentless effort saw her survive the grueling selection process, ultimately securing a spot among the 14 players representing Indian Railways.

This accomplishment is monumental. The Indian Railways team carries a storied legacy in Indian volleyball, consistently winning or finishing as runners-up in the Senior National Championship. For Roli, wearing this jersey is the realization of a lifelong dream and a testament to her hard work and perseverance.

We at MDPH are especially proud because we have been supporting Shakuntala Ji in every way possible, ensuring she could balance work with being present for her daughter’s critical training sessions and competitions.

From her early days at SICA School in Indore, to intensive training in Kerala under the Khelo India Scheme, Roli’s journey is one of courage, commitment, and community. Today, as she steps onto the national stage, she carries not only her own ambition but the pride and support of MDPH.
